DUBAI, December 21. /TASS/. The delivery of aid for residents of the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom checkpoint has been suspended due to the Israeli strike, Arab World Press reported citing source in Egyptian security agencies.
According to the report, the Israeli Air Force carried out a strike on the Palestinian side of the border crossing checkpoint. The transit of trucks carrying aid for the Palestinian enclave through this checkpoint has been suspended until its infrastructure is repaired.
On December 21, Al Jazeera reported that four people, including the chief officer of the Kerem Shalom checkpoint, were killed by the Israeli strike.
On December 17, the Israeli authorities announced the opening of the Kerem Shalom checkpoint for delivery of aid to the Palestinian enclave.
