MARRAKESH, December 20. /TASS/. Moroccan and Russian Foreign Ministers Nasser Bourita and Sergey Lavrov discussed topical regional and international issues, including the Ukrainian crisis, during a bilateral meeting in Marrakesh, Bourita said, speaking at a joint press conference with Lavrov.

"We decided to hold a bilateral meeting after the end of the Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum. We discussed regional issues, including those in Africa. We also discussed the Ukrainian crisis, the current events around Ukraine. We support a solution through dialogue, as in all other cases, on the basis of decisions and resolutions of the UN Security Council," the Moroccan foreign minister stressed.

Morocco has always seen Russia as an important partner that can play a constructive role in solving regional problems. Russia always has Morocco’s back in solving regional issues," Bourita continued.

According to him, "the partnership between Morocco and Russia is based on the personal relationship between the two countries' leaders."
