EU court declines to remove sanctions from Roman Abramovich

BRUSSELS, December 20. /TASS/. The European Court of Justice in Luxembourg has upheld the EU sanctions against Russian businessman Roman Abramovich, Reuters reported.
"The General Court dismisses the action brought by Mr. Abramovich, thereby upholding the restrictive measures taken against him," the EU court said in a ruling, the news service reported.
Abramovich filed the lawsuit against the European Council, which sanctioned him over Russia's military operation in Ukraine, in May 2022.
