MINSK, December 14. /TASS/. The West is already in a conflict with Ukraine, it ‘ditched’ President Vladimir Zelensky, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko said during the meeting with the heads of CIS intelligence and security agencies in Minsk.

"The West already conflicts with Ukraine today. […] I warned Zelensky: a new turmoil will happen or some other reason will emerge, and they will forget about you," Lukashenko said. "There you go, the Middle East, the domestic situation in the US. […] The poor fellow now is now begging. And they acted heinously towards Zelensky."

According to the Belarusian leader, "a new situation has emerged and they ditched [Ukraine]."

"They dumped them, like they did in Afghanistan. [The Ukrainians] will cling to the landing gear and fall to the airstrip," he said.

The head of state noted that Zelensky is often being called brazen, but he simply demands that the Western partners fulfill their agreement.

"Before the war, they sat at the negotiation table and the Americans said: ‘you keep fighting until the last Ukrainian, and we fund you, send you weapons.’ It is clear why they don’t send it, why they don’t fund him. This is what he demands from them, just behind the scenes," Lukashenko said.

He reiterated his conviction that time has come for the sides of the conflict to negotiate.

"No one needs this disgusting situation. And you know that Russia is ready today. And it has never rejected negotiations. Back then, Zelensky was held back by the West, and now they point to him and say: ‘if he agrees to negotiations, then we are ready as well’," Lukashenko noted.

He also pointed out the conflict between Zelensky and the military.

"They Ukrainian military has somewhat, to put it mildly, different point of view than the politicians and President Zelensky. And the upcoming, as some say, military reshuffle indicate this exactly," Lukashenko noted. According to the president "the most professional military officials are the most convinced that the war must end."
