Israeli troops detain doctors, patients at Kamal Adwan hospital in Gaza — Health Ministry
According to the ministry, after some of the detainees were released, they were forced back to the hospital that Israeli forces continue to shell, preventing "the movement of people and depriving them of water, food and electricity"
CAIRO, December 13. /TASS/. The Israeli military detained all male medical workers, patients and displaced persons at Kamal Adwan hospital in northern Gaza, the Palestinian enclave’s Health Ministry said.
All those detained were taken to an undisclosed location, the ministry stated on Facebook (prohibited in Russia due to its ownership by Meta, which has been designated as extremist).
According to the Health Ministry, after some of the detainees were released, they were forced back to the hospital that Israeli forces continue to shell, preventing "the movement of people and depriving them of water, food and electricity." "Five medical workers and displaced persons suffered wounds in shelling attacks," the ministry added.
Tensions in the Middle East flared up again on October 7 after militants from the radical Palestinian group Hamas launched a surprise incursion into Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip, killing residents of border communities and taking people, including women, children and the elderly, hostage. Israel announced a total blockade of Gaza and started carrying out strikes on targets in the Strip, as well as on certain areas in Lebanon and Syria. Clashes are also taking place in the West Bank.
