According to the broadcaster, the majority of those killed are women and children.

The Palestinian movement Hamas announced on November 22 that an agreement on a humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip had been reached through the mediation of Qatar and Egypt. The ceasefire took effect on November 24. The agreement stipulated the release of women and children held in Gaza in exchange for the release of women and children from Israeli prisons. However, the Israeli army said on the morning of December 1 that Hamas had violated the truce, and announced the resumption of combat operations in the Gaza Strip.
