WASHINGTON, December 12. /TASS/. The US House of Representatives unanimously voted on Monday to approve a measure that would ban Russian uranium imports.

Although the bill would prohibit the import of low-enriched Russian uranium to the United States 90 days after enactment, it allows the Department of Energy to issue waivers.

The measure also authorizes the Department of Energy to find an alternative source of reactor fuel.
