Ukraine’s Kuleba says he had ‘thorough’ conversation with Hungary’s Szijjarto
Ukrainian Foreign Minister said that the meeting mainly focused on Hungary’s position regarding the negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU
MOSCOW, December 11. /TASS/. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba announced that he had a "thorough" conversation with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto.
"We talked for an hour. […] We had a thorough conversation. We answered each other's questions honestly," Kuleba said on social media.
He specified that this was his first meeting with Szijjarto since the beginning of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine.
According to the Kuleba, the meeting mainly focused on Hungary’s position regarding the negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
"I clearly said: Peter, we have a common future in Europe. We must get there as soon as possible. Together," he added.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov also announced that he invited his Hungarian counterpart Kristof Szalay-Bobrovniczky in Kiev.
