PARIS, December 11. /TASS/. The process of Ukraine’s accession to the European Union will require time and all the conditions to be met by Kiev, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said.

"The start of accession talks and not the accession proper that will need time in any case will be discussed at the EU summit on Thursday and Friday. Certainly, the accession to the EU can only take place after all the conditions for membership will be satisfied," she said in an interview with Le Parisien newspaper.

EU leaders make take a decision during their summit on December 14-15 to start talks on accession to the European Union with Ukraine and Moldavia and confer the candidate status to Georgia. Such a proposal was made in early November by the European Commission.
