Senior Hamas member says Israel understates its losses in Gaza
Hamas has not disclosed its casualties since the start of the conflict in the Gaza Strip escalated
BEIRUT, December 7. /TASS/. Israel understates its losses in the conflict in the Gaza Strip, said Hamas political bureau member Osama Hamdan.
"By the enemy's admission, 90 soldiers and officers were killed. Of course, the real number is many times higher," he said.
Hamas has not disclosed its casualties since the start of the conflict in the Gaza Strip escalated. According to the Israel Defense Forces, about 100 military personnel have been killed in the operation in the Palestinian enclave.
On December 1, the IDF accused Hamas of violating the truce and announced that it was restarting military operations in the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian authorities blamed the US for the resumption of Israeli aggression. Al Hadath television reported that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has exceeded 17,000 since tensions started to escalate.
