Turkey still prepared to be guarantor in Middle East settlement — Erdogan
"We are constantly talking about peace, law and justice, for the sake of preventing the whole world from being dragged into an even greater catastrophe," the Turkish leader said
ANKARA, December 6. /TASS/. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reiterated that his country is still ready to take the responsibility of being a guarantor for Palestine as part of the Middle East settlement process.
"We are ready to act as a guarantor and hold a peace conference [on the Palestinian issue]," Erdogan told reporters on his return from Qatar, Anadolu reported. "As long as they [the other participants in the process] really want peace. We are constantly talking about peace, law and justice, for the sake of preventing the whole world from being dragged into an even greater catastrophe. We are essentially offering a recipe for saving human dignity."
Erdogan said that he will continue efforts to ensure peace.
"We have created our new roadmaps. We will outline our solutions for [ending] the oppression of residents in Gaza, and the drama that Palestine has been experiencing for many years, and for the path to lasting peace," he said.
