Hamas’ armed wing claims to have destroyed 28 Israeli combat vehicles in past day
It is reported that Qassam fighters have also shelled military gatherings with heavy artillery shells and directed intensive missile attacks towards various targets inside the Zionist entity
CAIRO, December 4. /TASS/. The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ armed wing, has claimed that it destroyed 28 Israeli combat vehicles during the past day.
"In the past 24 hours, Qassam fighters have successfully destroyed 28 military vehicles, either completely or partially, in all combat axes in the Gaza Strip. They have targeted Israeli forces that have infiltrated areas of deployment and positioned themselves using anti-fortification shells and anti-personnel devices. They engaged them at point-blank range and inflicted significant casualties. Qassam fighters have also shelled military gatherings with heavy artillery shells and directed intensive missile attacks towards various targets inside the Zionist entity (Israel - TASS)," al-Qassam Brigades spokesman Abu Ubaida wrote on his Telegram channel.
Tensions flared up again in the Middle East on October 7 after militants from the Gaza Strip-based radical Palestinian group Hamas launched a surprise incursion on Israeli territory, killing many Israeli kibbutz residents living near the Gaza border and abducting more than 200 Israelis, including women, children and the elderly. Hamas described its attack as a response to Israeli authorities’ aggressive actions against the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s Old City. Israel declared a total blockade of the Gaza Strip and launched bombardments of the enclave and some areas in Lebanon and Syria, as well as a ground operation against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Clashes are also reported in the West Bank.
