Number of Israeli servicemen killed in Gaza ground operation up to 75

TEL AVIV, December 4. /TASS/. Three more Israel Defense Forces (IDF) servicemen have been killed as a result of fighting in the Gaza Strip, bringing to the death toll of servicemen killed during the ground operation to 75, the army press service said.
According to its information, the fatalities include a 19-year-old sergeant on active duty, as well as two retired majors, aged 22 and 36. This brings the total number of IDF fatalities since October 7 to 401.
Earlier, The Times of Israel reported that the total number of IDF fatalities had reached 398. The vast majority of Israeli servicemen were killed in fighting with forces of the radical Palestinian Hamas movement in southern Israel on the first day after Hamas militants infiltrated Israeli territory on October 7.
On December 1, the IDF resumed fighting in the Gaza Strip, accusing Hamas of violating the ceasefire.
