Military wing of Hamas claims responsibility for rocket attacks on Tel Aviv, Ashkelon

RABAT, December 2. /TASS/. The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, said on Saturday it had shelled the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Ashkelon and the kibbutz of Kissufim near the border with the Gaza Strip.
According to a statement, posed on the group’s Telegram channel, the attacks were carried out "in response to the killings of the civilian population in the Gaza Strip."
Also, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades said it shelled clusters of Israeli manpower in the districts of Al Tawam and Deir al-Balah in central Gaza Strip.
The statement also says that Hamas forces attacked Israeli command and reconnaissance posts of the Israeli military near the city of Beit Hanoun in Gaza’s northeast.
On the morning of December 1, the Israel Defense Forces accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire and announced the resumption of hostilities in the Gaza Strip.
