Viktor Orban recalled that "there are certain issues on which a decision is taken only with the consent of all EU countries," but in this case there is no unanimity

BUDAPEST, December 1. /TASS/. Hungary will not block negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU, but it is sure that a positive decision on this issue will not be made anyway, because there is no agreement on this issue within the community, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said.

Hungary will not veto the EU negotiations with Ukraine because there will simply be no need for it, Orban said on Kossuth radio’s morning program.

He recalled that "there are certain issues on which a decision is taken only with the consent of all EU countries," but in this case there is no unanimity.

"The European Commission has put forward a proposal for starting negotiations on Ukraine's membership, but this does not meet the interests of many member states."

"We should not put ourselves in a situation in which we will feel guilty," Orban added.
