NATO, Ukraine sign cooperation program for 2024

BRUSSELS, November 29. /TASS/. NATO and Ukraine have adopted a cooperation program for next year which includes energy security and training of the Ukrainian army, the alliance Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg told a news conference following a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council at the level of foreign ministers.
"Today, we approved an ambitious work program for the next year. It includes energy security, innovation and interoperability," Stoltenberg said. At the meeting, he said, the sides discussed reforms that Kiev should undertake to get closer to the alliance, including "overhauling the system for defense procurement and also modernizing their intelligence services."
"We also discussed Ukraine's path to membership. We have now provided recommendations on Ukraine's priority reforms. Including the fight against corruption, strengthening the rule of law, and supporting human rights and minority rights," he said.
