Nine women, one minor released in Gaza — Qatari foreign ministry

DUBAI, November 29. /TASS/. Nine women and one underage girl were released in the Gaza Strip and handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), said Majed al-Ansari, a spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of Qatar.

"Those released from Gaza include a minor and 9 women, an Austrian citizen, 2 Argentinians, & a Filipina citizen," the spokesman wrote on the X social network, formerly known as Twitter.

He added that the released "were handed over to the ICRC."

According to AL-Ansari, Israel is supposed to release 30 Palestinians on Tuesday, including 15 women and 15 children and teenagers.

Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces said it was notified by the Red Cross about the arrival of 12 hostages from Gaza to Israel. Among them were 10 Israeli citizens and two foreigners.

Hamas announced on November 22 that an agreement on a four-day humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip had been reached through the mediation of Qatar and Egypt. The agreement stipulates the release of 50 women and children under the age of 19 who are held in Gaza in exchange for the release of 150 women and children under the age of 19 from Israeli prisons. The ceasefire came into force in the Gaza Strip at 8:00 a.m. local time (6:00 a.m. GMT) on November 24 and the first group of hostages was released on the same day. Israel and Hamas, via mediators, reached an agreement on the extension of the ceasefire in Gaza from 7:00 a.m. local time (5:00 a.m. GMT) on November 28 for two more days.
