Bus with 39 teenagers released from Israeli prisons arrive in Ramallah – TV
According to Al Mayadeen TV channel, a festive welcoming ceremony for those released with the participation of their relatives is being prepared in the city center
BEIRUT, November 26. /TASS/. A bus with 39 Palestinian teenagers who were released from the Israeli Ofer prison under the prisoner swap deal with Hamas has arrived in Ramallah, the Al Mayadeen television channel reported.
According to the WAFA news agency, among these teenagers, 21 were detained after riots in East Jerusalem and 17 were arrested in West Bank cities. Only one of them is from the Gaza Strip.
Thirty-nine people - six women and 33 teenagers - were released on Saturday, and 24 women and 15 teens - on Friday.
Hamas announced on November 22 that an agreement on a four-day humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip had been reached through the mediation of Qatar and Egypt. The agreement stipulates the release of 50 women and children under the age of 19 who are held in Gaza in exchange for the release of 150 women and children under the age of 19 from Israeli prisons.
A four-day ceasefire came into force in the Gaza Strip from 8:00 a.m. local time (5:00 a.m. GMT) on November 24.
