US-led coalition’s aircraft violate Syrian airspace six times in past day
According to deputy chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria Vadim Kulit, three violations of the deconfliction protocols of December 9, 2019 linked with the flights by the coalition drones were reported in Syria in the past 24 hours
MOSCOW, November 24. /TASS/. The US-led coalition’s fighter jets and drones violated Syria’s airspace in the al-Tanf area six times during the past day, Vadim Kulit, deputy chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria (a division of the Russian defense ministry), said on Friday.
"A pair of F-15 and two pairs of Rafale fighter jets of the coalition violated Syria’s airspace in the al-Tanf area, across which international air routes run, six times during the day," he said.
According to Kulit, three violations of the deconfliction protocols of December 9, 2019 linked with the flights by the coalition drones were reported in Syria in the past 24 hours.
"The coalition continues to create dangerous situation that may cause air accident or incidents and escalate the situation in Syria’s airspace," he said.
According to Kulit, the Russian reconciliation center conducted two humanitarian operations and delivered a total of 5.6 tons of humanitarian cargoes to the settlement of Bannan in the Aleppo governorate and Dilli in the Daraa governorate.
Apart from that, his said that during the day, six shelling attacks on positions of government forces were reported in the Idlid de-escalation zone from positions of the Jabhat al-Nusra and the Turkestan Islamic Party terrorist groups (both outlawed in Russia).
