Uncontrolled flow of weapons through Ukraine is potential threat — Lukashenko
"It's an open secret that the weapons being supplied to Kiev often end up in black markets," the Belarusian president stressed
MINSK, November 23. /TASS/. The uncontrolled movement of weapons through Ukraine should be regarded as a potential threat both for an individual region and for the whole world, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said at a session of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
"The fire of regional conflicts, including those involving the latest weapons systems, can spill over to other countries at any moment. It's an open secret that the weapons being supplied to Kiev often end up in black markets," Lukashenko said.
"If Western politicians are not concerned about it, we consider the uncontrolled movement of weapons and military equipment as a potential security threat not only to our region, but to all countries of the world," the BelTA news agency quotes him as saying.
This is relevant "especially now, when a new hotbed of tension in the Middle East is growing," Lukashenko stressed.
