MINSK, November 23. /TASS/. Statements and actions of certain CSTO member states are provocative, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said.

"The very fact that we have gathered at a single table proves that we adequately assess and react to the challenges of our time, and we are ready to counter them together. The fact that some of our partners get stormy in their public statements and in their actions, which are provocative in nature - is their problem, first and foremost," the Belarusian leader said during the CSTO Collective Security Council meeting, according to BelTA.

The Belarusian President is certain that "complaints, if there are any, must be voiced eye to eye, instead of talking via stories in mass media."

He also believes that only "one-day politicians can create a conflict situation, making a gift to those not interest in strengthening of the CSTO member states."

"This is reckless and short-sighted," Lukashenko underscored.

According to the president, CSTO partners "are able to manage all hardships in their area of responsibility."

"And we do that. Maybe, not in full, but we do a lot, especially recently," Lukashenko noted.

During the CSTO Collective Security Council meeting, Lukashenko said the situation in the Caucasus region and a "certain dissatisfaction of one CSTO member state [Armenia - TASS]" was discussed during the limited-attendance meeting of CSTO leaders.

"We have expressed a certain opinion and wish that there will be a mainly economical event in St. Petersburg, and that we will see our Armenian friends there," the Belarusian president said.
