DUBAI, November 23. /TASS/. The beginning of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip will be announced soon, Qatari Foreign Ministry Spokesman Majed Mohammed Al-Ansari said.

"Dr. Al-Ansari has confirmed <...> that the starting time of a ceasefire [between Israel and the radical Palestinian movement Hamas] will be announced in the coming hours," the Qatari Foreign Ministry said in a statement on the X social media platform (formerly Twitter).

The diplomat noted that talks conducted by Doha and Cairo on the details of a humanitarian pause in the Gaza Strip continue with a positive outlook. He added that Qatar is working with Israel and Hamas, as well as with Egypt and the US, on the swiftest beginning of a ceasefire as well as on ensuring that the sides adhere to the implementation of the agreement.
