MINSK, November 22. /TASS/. The conflict in Ukraine continues to be the main destabilizing factor in the East European region, Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergey Aleinik said.
He made the statement following the joint meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of Security Council Secretaries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member countries in Minsk.
"The conflict in Ukraine continues to be a hot button and the main destabilizing factor in the Eastern European region," he told reporters.
The minister also said that "the CSTO's southern borders are exposed to numerous and diverse challenges and threats of a transnational nature, such as terrorism and extremism, drug trafficking and illegal migration.".
