Finnish cabinet to decide on shutdown of additional checkpoints on Russian border — report
The Cabinet reportedly plans to close all checkpoints, except for the one in Raja-Jooseppi
STOCKHOLM, November 22. /TASS/. The government of Finland will make a decision to close all but one checkpoint on the Russian border, the Helsingin Sanomat reported.
"The Deputy Justice Chancellor provided the legal assessment to the draft decision and the draft memorandum presented today. The confidential memorandum on this issue is also available. Judging by the documents, there are no legal obstructions in substance for further preparation of the proposed decision," the Justice Chancellor’s office said, according to the newspaper.
According to the Helsingin Sanomat, the government is ready to pass the decision on additional restrictions on the Russian border this evening. The Cabinet reportedly plans to close all checkpoints, except for the one in Raja-Jooseppi.
