According to the Turkish leader, there are already calls in the West for Netanyahu to resign

ISTANBUL, November 22. /TASS/. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan does not rule out that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be forced to "pack his bags and leave his country" in the very near future, he told his pool reporters upon returning from Algeria, the Anadolu news agency reported.

"I don't think this ordeal will go on much longer. I hope Netanyahu packs his bags and leaves soon as possible. You already know that Netanyahu has a judicial record. He may have taken this step [military operation in Gaza] to get rid of it. But whichever direction he goes, he will not get rid of it," Erdogan said.

According to him, there are already calls in the West for Netanyahu to resign. "Everyone has started telling Netanyahu to 'go away.' Some foreign officials are telling us, 'We should get rid of him,'" the Turkish leader said.

"You can see how the whole world has begun to take a stand against Israel. While the occupation of Gaza has silenced some governments, it has mobilized the 'conscience of societies.' The number of those who support Palestine in the streets is growing. Look at Germany. I was there the other day, there were marches in Berlin. Same thing in England. You see what is happening in front of the White House in the US, in France, in Latin America. Now public consciousness is mobilized, even the streets of Israel are mobilized," Erdogan said.

The Turkish president has previously called Israel a "terrorist state" and announced his intention to hold Netanyahu accountable in the International Criminal Court for Israel's "crimes against humanity" in Gaza. Erdogan also said Turkey would ask the UN Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to verify Israel's possession of nuclear weapons.
