MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. A series of explosions was heard in the Kiev Region, a territory that surrounds the Ukrainian capital, the Zerkalo Nedeli news portal said early on Wednesday.

Earlier, it was reported that missile defense systems were engaging aerial targets above the region.

At present, an air raid warning is in place in a number of Ukrainian administrative regions, including the Kiev Region.
