TOKYO, November 21. /TASS/. The Indonesian language has been recognized as an official language of the UNESCO General Conference, the Indonesian Foreign Ministry reported on its X (formerly Twitter).
"Indonesian officially designated as the 10th official language of the UNESCO General Conference (20/11). With this, Indonesian can be used as the working language, and documents of the General Conference can be translated into Indonesian," the ministry said.
"This recognition is a source of pride for the entire Indonesian nation," the Detik news portal quoted Indonesian President Joko Widodo as saying.
