Xi calls for convening international conference on Palestinian problem
"If no fair solution to the Palestinian problem is found, there will be no lasting peace and stability in the Middle East," the Chinese leader stressed
BEIJING, November 21. /TASS/. Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on the world community to convene an international conference on the Palestinian problem.
"China calls for the soonest convening of a more representative international peace conference to reach an international consensus on peace [in the Middle East] and to work toward the soonest resolution of the Palestinian problem, a comprehensive and fair solution," he said at the virtual extraordinary BRICS summit on the Middle East.
"If no fair solution to the Palestinian problem is found, there will be no lasting peace and stability in the Middle East," he stressed.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is taking part in the online BRICS summit. It is also attended by the leaders of the countries which will join BRICS from January 1, 2024 (Argentina, Egypt, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Ethiopia), as well as by United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
