HAVANA, November 19. /TASS/. The finals of the 72nd Miss Universe Beauty Pageant kicked off in San Salvador on Saturday night.

Beauties from more than 80 countries are taking part. Margarita Golubeva, a resident of St. Petersburg, who was crowned Miss Russia 2023, represents Russia.

On Thursday, the Russian contestant, 22, wore a Swan Princess Russian-style dress designed by Olga Malyarova of St. Petersburg in the annual costume contest. The dress, based on Russian fairy tales, was decorated with beautiful lace and semi-precious stone.

Miss Universe, an annual international beauty pageant, is one of the Big Four international beauty competitions. Anna Linnikova of Orenburg, who won Miss Russia-2022, took part in the 71st Miss Universe Pageant in New Orleans, US, but failed to make it into the top-16.
