Israel delivers airstrike on infrastructure facilities in Syria with guided bombs
Five of them were shot down
MOSCOW, November 17. /TASS/. Israel delivered an airstrike on infrastructure facilities near Syria’s capital city of Damascus with the use of guided air bombs, five of them were shot down, Vadim Kulit, deputy chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria (a division of the Russian defense ministry), said on Friday.
"From 2:22 a.m. to 2:32 on November 17, two F-16 Israeli tactical fighter jets delivered an airstrike with guided air bombs on infrastructure facilities near Damascus from the airspace of the occupied Golan Heights," he said.
According to Kulit, Russian-made Buk-M2E and Pantsir-S1 air defense systems used by the Syrian government army shot down five bombs. "There are no casualties after the Israeli airstrike," he added.
