Israeli forces destroy three buildings at Al-Shifa Hospital — media
No international organization, including the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), has been granted access to the hospital
DUBAI, November 17. /TASS/. Israeli troops have destroyed at least three buildings in the Al-Shifa medical center in the north of the Gaza Strip, the Al Hadath TV channel reported.
According to the media outlet, Israeli forces won’t allow anyone to leave the medical facility even though they are well aware that there are no militants among those trapped in the hospital, only patients, wounded people and displaced persons. Israeli troops are detaining everyone trying to leave the premises; they are also conducting searches and interrogations.
No international organization, including the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), has been granted access to the hospital.
The TV channel warned that all those blocked in at Al-Shifa were in mortal danger because they had no access to water, food or medicine.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military claims to have provided over 4,000 liters of drinking water and 1,500 ready-to-eat meals to the personnel of the Al-Shifa Hospital in the early hours of Friday.
On Wednesday, the Israeli military began storming the Al-Shifa Hospital, where it claims the radical Palestinian movement Hamas has its main command headquarters. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) also said that there were several underground facilities under the medical center where some 200 radicals were hiding and the hostages kidnapped in the October 7 attack were being kept. The military added that while searching the hospital area, troops had found the entrance to a tunnel and a motor vehicle filled with weapons.
