Twelve Russians, their families cross Rafah order out of Gaza on Thursday
Evacuation from the Gaza Strip of Russian citizens who found themselves in the zone of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is organized by the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations
MOSCOW, November 16./TASS/. Twelve Russians and their families were evacuated from Gaza through the Rafah border crossing on Thursday, and are now heading to the emergency operations center in Cairo on buses, the press service of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations told TASS.
"Today, 12 citizens of the Russian Federation and their family members crossed the Rafah crossing. Now they are traveling on buses to Cairo, where the emergency operations center is deployed. Tomorrow the task force of the Russian emergencies ministry in Egypt will continue its work to receive people who crossed the checkpoint," the press service said.
Evacuation from the Gaza Strip of Russian citizens who found themselves in the zone of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is organized by the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations in teamwork with diplomats. The first group of 70 Russian citizens crossed into Egypt through Rafah on November 12. Overall, 316 people have been evacuated from the conflict zone as of now, and 168 of them are already in Russia. On Thursday, 120 adults and children will fly to Russia.
