NATO already lost in Ukrainian conflict, Charles de Gaulle’s grandson believes
Pierre de Gaulle also believes that the French government assumed a wrong position on the Ukrainian conflict, and cornered itself, but it can and must change this position
ST. PETERSBURG, November 16. /TASS/. NATO has already lost in the conflict around Ukraine, and the US and Western states are unable to continue it, says Pierre de Gaulle, grandson of Charles de Gaulle, the first president of the French Fifth Republic.
"I believe that NATO has lost in this conflict, because neither NATO nor the West is able to continue the war," de Gaulle told TASS on the sidelines of the United Cultures forum in St. Petersburg.
He opined that "the Americans will soon remove Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, when they will no longer need him."
"And this is what will happen to all their allies," the pointed out. "Neither Europe, nor the US has political or financial capabilities to continue the conflict."
De Gaulle also believes that the French government assumed a wrong position on the Ukrainian conflict, and cornered itself, but it can and must change this position.
"We must stop this tragedy," he concluded.
