Hezbollah sees attacking US bases as important to stop aggression against Gaza
According to Naim Qassem, "there is an axis made up of the United States, France, Germany, Great Britain and Israel that supports the occupation, legitimizes the murder of children and women, the destruction of hospitals, and grants immunity to Israel to continue its massacres"
MADRID, November 15. /TASS/. Attacking US bases and military facilities in Syria and Iraq is important to stop the aggression against the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah deputy chief, Naim Qassem, told El Mundo.
"Today, there is an alliance that we call `the axis of resistance’, which includes groups from countries such as Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen or Palestine," he said in an interview with the Spanish daily. "What they have in common is that they are defending a legitimate cause, the Palestinian cause," he added. "They believe that the Palestinians deserve this land, not the occupiers, and that the occupiers should abandon this land and return it to its owners. There is no boss in `the axis of resistance’," he said.
According to him, "there is another axis made up of the United States, France, Germany, Great Britain and Israel." "It is this axis that supports the occupation, legitimizes the murder of children and women, the destruction of hospitals, and grants immunity to Israel to continue its massacres," the senior Hezbollah official insisted. "The United States is supporting these massacres and that is why attacking the US is essential to stop the aggression against Gaza," he maintained.
According to the Pentagon, since October 17, US troops in Syria and Iraq have been attacked more than 50 times. As many as 900 US servicemen have been deployed to Syria, and there are 2,500 American troops in Iraq.
