Israeli army surrounds Shifa hospital in Gaza, blocks all entrances
According to the report the "occupying forces are now at all entrances to the Al-Shifa hospital and are poised to storm the building"
DUBAI, November 15. /TASS/. Israeli servicemen have surrounded the Al-Shifa hospital in the Gaza Strip, blocking all entrances, while Israeli tanks entered the hospital’s territory, the Al Mayadeen television reported on Wednesday.
According to the report the "occupying forces are now at all entrances to the Al-Shifa hospital and are poised to storm the building."
"We are cautioning against committing a mass murder in the Al-Shifa hospital and hold the occupying power, the global community and the United States responsible for the safety of medical teams, the injured and refugees," the TV channel quoted the enclave’s government as saying in a statement.
The situation in the Middle East sharply escalated following an incursion of Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip into Israel on October 7, accompanied by killings of residents of Israeli settlements near the border and taking more than 200 hostages, including children, women and elderly people. Hamas regards the attack as a response to Israeli actions against the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Jerusalem's Temple Mount. Israel has declared a complete siege of the Gaza Strip and has started delivering strikes on that area and parts of Lebanon and Syria. Clashes are also taking place in the West Bank.
