BEIRUT, November 13. /TASS/. Jordan's King Abdullah II has rejected any scenario of a reoccupation of Gaza by Israel or the creation of buffer zones on the territory of the enclave.

"Any scenario or idea of a reoccupation of parts of the Gaza Strip or the establishment of buffer zones there will exacerbate the crisis <...> and are unacceptable," Petra news agency quoted the king as saying at a meeting with the speakers of the Jordanian national assembly, former prime ministers and politicians at Al Husseiniya Palace.

The king also emphasized that the enclave should not be separated from the rest of Palestine and called on the international community to stop the humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip. In addition, he noted that Israel's policies in the West Bank and Jerusalem, as well as episodes of attacks by Jewish settlers, could "explode" the situation in the region and expand the conflict.

On November 11, at the joint summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League, the king of Jordan demanded that the international community condemn Israel's actions against the Palestinian population in Gaza as a war crime and establish an international coalition to launch a "serious peace process."
