DUBAI, November 13. /TASS/. The Dubai Airshow kicks off Monday at Dubai's Al Maktoum Airport. The exhibition part of the airshow, which will last until November 17, will feature 20 national pavilions where more than 1,400 companies will display their products, including more than 180 aircraft.
Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec, told TASS that the delegation of the state corporation intends to discuss the prospects for military-technical cooperation and civilian projects with foreign partners on the sidelines of the air show. "The Dubai Airshow exhibition is one of the largest international platforms where the world’s leading manufacturers can present their advanced developments. For Russia, this is an excellent opportunity to present military and civilian innovations to foreign customers," he said.
The Russian delegation to the UAE will be headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov. During the working visit, the Deputy Prime Minister will also hold a number of negotiations.
The Russian exhibition will be organized by Rosoboronexport in a single pavilion with a total area of more than 750 square meters, where the leading Russian manufacturers of military products will present more than 250 samples of modern weapons and military equipment. A static display will feature Russian jets and helicopters. A flight program is also being prepared.
The main premiere of the large-scale Russian exhibition is expected to be the Il-76MD-90A(E) large transport aircraft, which will be demonstrated outside Russia for the first time in modern history.
In addition, the upgraded Ka-32A11M firefighting helicopter - a modernized variant of the Ka-32A11BC firefighting helicopter, one of the best in the world in its class - will be displayed for the first time at the international exhibition.
Russia will also bring the Mi-171A3 helicopter and the Ansat light utility helicopter to Dubai.
The Airshow visitors will also see a new product in the Russian pavilion - a shortened export version of the Kalashnikov AK-19 assault rifle. The Russian pavilion will also feature the most advanced weaponry for fifth-generation combat aircraft, such as the RVV-MD2 and RVV-BD air-to-air guided missiles, as well as the Kh-69 cruise missile.
Rosoboronexport will also present drones in Dubai - Orlan-30, Orion-E and the KUB-E loitering munition.
