IDF says was unable to deliver fuel to Al Shifa Hospital due to Hamas
The IDF received evidence that Hamas officials prevented the hospital from receiving the fuel, the Israel Defense Forces said
TEL AVIV, November 12. /TASS/. The Israeli military was about to transfer 300 liters of fuel to Al-Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip but the transfer was blocked by Hamas officials, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Sunday.
"Last night, the IDF coordinated the transfer of fuel for urgent medical use to the Shifa Hospital. Early in the morning, IDF troops arrived at the entrance of the hospital and placed 300 liters of fuel for urgent medical purposes," the IDF said. "Later, the IDF received evidence that Hamas officials prevented the hospital from receiving the fuel."
It also attached audio and video evidence. The video features Israeli soldiers placing containers with fuel at the entrance to the hospital. The first audio, according to the IDF, "is a conversation between a senior Israeli official at the Coordination and Liaison Headquarters and a senior Gazan official at the Shifa Hospital, coordinating the delivery of fuel to the hospital’s entrance."
The second recoding features a conversation with a Gaza healthcare official, who says that there is a problem with the receipt of the fuel as a CEO of the Hamas-controlled health ministry "doesn’t want that much of fuel" but the hospital employees are trying to dissuade him. The recording ends at this point.
