TEL AVIV, November 12. /TASS/. Israel is responding with artillery fire following the launch of anti-tank missiles at its territory from Lebanon, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Sunday.
"A short while ago, terrorists launched anti-tank missiles toward the area of Dovev in northern Israel. A number of civilians were injured as a result of the launches. IDF artillery is striking the origin of the launch," it said.
According to the Kan radio station, six civilians received severe wounds in the attack, with one of them being in critical condition. The IDF reported about air raid warnings in northern parts of Israel three times during the day.
The IDF also said that "a terrorist cell embedded in a civilian area in Lebanon that intended to open fire toward Israeli territory was struck by the IDF."
"Furthermore, overnight, an IDF UAV struck a terrorist cell that attempted to launch anti-tank missiles toward northern Israel, near the area of Metula," it added.
