Germany allocates nearly €10 mln to establish four research centers in Ukraine
It is specified that the centers will be built in Kiev, Lvov and Kharkov
MOSCOW, November 10. /TASS/. Germany has allocated about €10 mln to set up several centers of advanced research in Ukraine, including for studying the use of bioactive anti-infective drugs, Ukrainian Education and Science Minister Oksen Lisovoy has said.
"Centers of advanced research will be established in Ukraine backed by the German government. <...> Germany has allocated about €10 mln to build these centers. The centers will operate under German funding and under the guidance of leading German and Ukrainian scientists," he wrote on his Facebook page (banned in Russia as it’s owned by Meta Corporation, which is designated as extremist in Russia).
Lisovoy specified that the centers will be built in Kiev, Lvov and Kharkov. One of the centers in Lvov will research the medical use of new bioactive anti-infective agents, while the other will study 20th century German-Ukrainian and European history.
According to Lisovoy, the Center for Advanced Research on Quantum Materials will be located in Kiev, while the Center for Advanced Research on Plasma Technologies will be located in Kharkov.
The decision to establish the centers was approved the day before at the 14th meeting of the Ukrainian-German working group on scientific and technological cooperation in Germany.
