Israeli army reports killing 50 radicals in fighting in Gaza City center
It is reported that the IDF raided the military quarter of the Hamas terrorist organization in the heart of Gaza City, near the Shifa Hospital
TEL AVIV, November 9. /TASS/. The Israeli military raided the territory of the "military quarter" of Hamas in the center of Gaza City, in which more than 50 radicals were eliminated, the army press service reported.
"The infantry, armor and engineering forces of the 162nd Division, with IAF air support and the assistance of special forces, raided the military quarter of the Hamas terrorist organization in the heart of Gaza City, near the Shifa Hospital," the IDF said.
"So far, over 50 terrorists have been eliminated in the quarter during intense battles," the press service added.
Tensions flared up again in the Middle East on October 7 when militants from the radical Palestinian movement Hamas staged a surprise attack on Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip. Hamas described its attack as a response to the aggressive actions of Israeli authorities against the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s Old City. Israel announced a total blockade of the Gaza Strip and has been delivering rocket attacks on Gaza as well as some districts in Lebanon and Syria. Clashes are also taking place in the West Bank.
