MOSCOW, November 9. /TASS/. Safe evacuation from the Gaza Strip should be provided to Russian citizens, Presidential Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov said at a meeting with Egypt’s Ambassador to Moscow Nazih Nagari.

"During the conversation, they focused attention on current issues related to the Middle East, with an emphasis on the ongoing large-scale confrontation in the Gaza Strip. The Russian side emphasized the need to step up coordinated efforts for an immediate ceasefire, for larger humanitarian aid deliveries into the Palestinian enclave and for ensuring the safe exit of Russian citizens from it," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement after the Egypt-requested meeting on Wednesday.

The Russian Foreign Ministry added that the two diplomats also talked about "some practical aspects of further developing multifaceted Russian-Egyptian cooperation.".
