Russian embassy says US should take responsibility for giving Ukraine arms to kill people
According to the statement, US politicians need to understand that "to stop the bloodshed, they must first stop recklessly funneling multi-billion dollar military supplies into the Kiev regime"
WASHINGTON, November 7. /TASS/. The US will eventually have to admit responsibility for the killing of innocent people by US weapons that were provided to Ukraine, the Russian Embassy in Washington said in a statement.
"We suggest that the Americans face the truth. Sooner or later the [US] government will have to take responsibility for the deaths of innocent people from terrorist strikes that Ukrainian forces inflicted with US-made weapons," said the statement on Telegram, which was issued in response to remarks by US National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby.
The embassy said US politicians need to understand that "to stop the bloodshed, they must first stop recklessly funneling multi-billion dollar military supplies into the Kiev regime."
"They are bringing death, only prolonging the conflict," the statement said.
The Russian embassy said Kirby in his remarks "shamelessly lied that Russian servicemen deliberately torture and kill civilians in Ukraine."
"It’s not the first time such words have been uttered by White House representatives," the embassy continued. "However, the repetition of slanderous fabrications will not help the administration to pass them off as truth. Dogmatic and unsubstantiated statements about the actions of our soldiers are striking in their cynicism. They are designed to divert attention from the real crimes that have been committed by Ukrainian bandits against the population of Donbas for nine years now."
The Russian diplomatic mission said that the dangerous actions of the United States would not alter Russia's determination to defend its national interests and its citizens.
