Number of journalists killed in Palestinian-Israeli conflict rises to 46
Previously, the Committee to Protect Journalists reported that from October 7 to November 2, at least 36 journalists were killed in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone
DUBAI, November 4. /TASS/. The Palestinian-Israeli conflict has claimed the lives of 46 journalists, Iranian news outlet ISNA reported citing a statement from the Palestinian National Authority.
"46 journalists and media representatives, men and women, were directly killed as a result of rocket attacks or Israeli airstrikes on their homes and while working," the report said.
Previously, the Committee to Protect Journalists reported that from October 7 to November 2, 2023, at least 36 journalists were killed in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone.
The situation in the Middle East sharply worsened after militants of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas entered Israel from the Gaza Strip on October 7. Radicals called this attack a response to the actions of the Israeli authorities against the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Israel announced a complete blockade of Gaza and began striking the strip and certain areas of Lebanon and Syria.
