Tunnels in Gaza big enough to accommodate motorcycles, cars — top brass
According to Chief of Staff for the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Bagheri, the length of underground passages built by the Hamas movement reaches 250 miles just in the north of the enclave
DUBAI, October 30. /TASS/. The tunnels under the Gaza Strip are big enough to fit motorcycles and even cars, Chief of Staff for the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Bagheri said.
He added that the length of underground passages built by the Palestinian radical Hamas movement reaches 250 miles just in the north of the enclave.
"In the northern section of Gaza, what the (Palestinian) fighters (Hamas - TASS) report is that they have built more than 400 kilometers of tunnels. Vehicles and motorcycles can pass through some of them," the Tasnim agency cited Bagheri as saying. "The tunnels have an entrance in the Gaza Strip, while their other end is behind the barriers and the Zionist forces."
"The Palestinian combatants are prepared for an Israeli ground attack," he believes. According to Bagheri, as soon as the internet is up and running in Gaza, pictures of burned Israeli tanks and dead military personnel will be seen.
