"We can’t come to the negotiating table with Hamas because they keep saying they believe that the State of Israel must be destroyed," Alexander Ben Zvi noted

MOSCOW, October 30. /TASS/. Israel is not considering the possibility of ending military operations at this point, Israeli Ambassador to Russia Alexander Ben Zvi told the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

When asked if Tel Aviv was considering the option of ending military activities and sitting down to negotiate with Hamas, he said: "No, it’s not under consideration."

"Who is there to sit down to negotiate with? What to talk about with them? We can’t come to the negotiating table with Hamas because they keep saying they believe that the State of Israel must be destroyed," Ben Zvi noted.

According to the ambassador, two questions must be answered before engaging in talks: Who to talk to? And, what to discuss? "As long as there are no answers to these questions, talks are impossible," Ben Zvi said.
