Israel not interested in expansion of Palestinian-Israeli conflict — ambassador to Russia

MOSCOW, October 30. /TASS/. Israel has braced for the risk the conflict in the Middle East may expand from the military point of view, but it is not interested to see this march of events, the Israeli ambassador to Russia, Alexander Ben Zvi, said on the Rossiya-24 TV channel.
"We are ready from the military point of view. But we have no interest in the conflict’s expansion," Ben Zvi pointed out.
"We are not the ones who start shelling Lebanon and Syria on our own initiative," he continued. "Hezbollah, Shiite groups in Syria and so on start shelling the Israeli territory in support of Hamas."
According to Ben Zvi, the Israeli side has "no interest in Lebanese or Syrian territory."
"If it is calm there, there will be no retaliatory bombardments from our side," he added.
