DUBAI, October 30. /TASS/. Due to the increased scale of the military operation, Israel demands that all international media personnel leave the northern part of the Gaza Strip immediately, the ISNA agency reported.

At least 24 media workers have been killed as a result of the escalating Palestinian-Israeli conflict, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists. Eight more people were injured, and three remain unaccounted for. According to the organization, journalists in the Gaza Strip face particularly high risks when reporting on the conflict.

The situation in the Middle East deteriorated sharply following the infiltration of Hamas militants from Gaza into Israel on October 7, which was accompanied by the killing of residents of Israeli border villages and the capture of more than 200 hostages, including children, women, and the elderly. According to Hamas, the attack is in response to Israeli actions against Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque. Israel declared a total blockade of Gaza and began retaliating against the territory as well as certain areas of Lebanon and Syria. Clashes occur in the West Bank as well.

According to the most recent data, over 1,400 Israelis were killed in the conflict, and over 5,200 were injured. According to the enclave's Ministry of Health, more than 7,000 Palestinians were killed and nearly 18,500 were injured as a result of Israeli strikes on Gaza.
