WASHINGTON, October 26. /TASS/. American forces in Iraq and Syria have been attacked by groups that Washington considers affiliated with Iran 16 times in about one week, Pentagon Spokesman Patrick Ryder said during a briefing.

"I will tell that, between October 17 and 26, US and Coalition forces have been attack at least 12 separate times in Iraq, 4 times in Syria by means of one-way attack drones and rockets," the spokesman said.

"We know that these are Iranian-backed militia groups that are supported by Iran and, of course, we hold Iran responsible for these groups," Ryder said.
