Israeli airstrike kills eight Syrian troops in Daraa Governorate

BEIRUT, October 25. /TASS/. The Israeli Air Force conducted a massive strike on Syria, killing eight service members, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported, citing a military source.
"At about 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial act of aggression from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan [Heights], targeting several military sites in Daraa countryside," the source said, as cited by SANA. The attack killed eight troops and left another seven wounded, he added.
According to the Al Hadath TV channel, 11 Syrian soldiers were killed and ten suffered wounds when repelling the Israeli attack in the Daraa Governorate.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Tuesday that rockets had been fired at Israel from Syria. The Israeli army responded with artillery fire. Air raid sirens went off in the Golan Heights area, the IDF added.
